Gabriella Herrera is a Colombian-Canadian millennial who lives in Vancouver, BC. She has gained popularity on Instagram and TikTok in the past few months. Her journey begins when she was only 14 years old.

“We had just moved to Canada from Colombia. I was getting to that age where I started to care more about my appearance. My parents didn’t have a lot of money, so my mom would buy just about any shampoo that was on sale and it wasn’t always made for curly hair. She would also put coconut oil on my hair after I got out of the shower, but that was the extent of my hair care routine. My hair was frizzy and out of control. I started to straighten my hair every day for school.”

When Gabriella started college at age 19, she became more active on social media.

“I started to become active in the vegan and sustainability communities. Environmental issues became something I was very passionate about and I learned to cook vegan recipes.
